Chetwood Associates has applied for planning permission of a £2.5 million wind dam in north-west Russia, on Lake Lagoda. The design is based on the spinnaker sail of a yacht and operates like a wind sock with a propellor at the end. Interesting concept, beautiful sculpture but questionable functionality and efficiency.
