The city of Toronto is leading Canada in a nation-wide ban of handguns. The petition is aimed at the federal government, addressed to Stephen Harper to ban the private ownership of guns in Canada. In 2006, 108 Canadians were murdered with a handgun1, and many more die as a result of suicide or accidents involving a handgun. If you agree that guns shouldn’t be allowed to be in possession of Canadians go here and sign the petition.
