Yesterday, Jessie bought a beautiful Namiki retractable fountain pen for me on our five-year anniversary. The pen is a fine-point nib in gun-metal grey. It’s amazingly smooth to write with, and I was surprised that the retractable fountain nibs even exist, but apparently they’ve been around since the 60’s. Namiki is the surname of Ryosuke Namiki, the founder of the Pilot pen company in 1918. For those of you who know me and my pen fetish, this leaves a perma-smile on my face for a while! Autographs, anyone?
